Paris Saint-Germain were founded in 1970 through a merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain. After Qatar Sports Investments bought the club in 2011, PSG became the dominant force in French football, winning most league titles since and signing stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimović, Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi. Under Luis Enrique, the club moved away from a team built around big names, and in 2025 they won their first Champions League, beating Inter 5-0 in the final in Munich.
