Désiré Doué came through Rennes’ academy and made his first-team debut at 17. His versatility, playing on either wing or in midfield, and his dribbling ability made him one of the most sought-after young players in France.
Paris Saint-Germain signed him in 2024. By the end of his first season he had become a regular, and he produced one of the great individual performances in a European final, scoring twice and setting up another as PSG beat Inter 5-0 in the 2025 Champions League final. He was named player of the match.
Doué made his senior France debut in 2025. His brother Guéla Doué is also a professional footballer.
Playing style
Doué is a versatile attacking player who can play on either wing, as a No. 10 or even in midfield. He is quick, has excellent dribbling ability and is strong in one-on-one situations. His decision-making in the final third is mature for his age, and he creates chances for team-mates as well as scoring. He also works hard defensively, which is important in Luis Enrique’s pressing system. His performance in the 2025 Champions League final showed his big-game temperament.
International career
Doué represented France at youth level and played for the Under-23 team that won silver at the 2024 Olympics. He made his senior France debut in 2025.
