LOSC Lille were formed in 1944 through the merger of two clubs from the northern French city. Lille have won the French title four times, including in 2011, with Eden Hazard in the team, and in 2021, when they ended Paris Saint-Germain's run of dominance. The club is known for recruiting and developing young players, and plays at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, which has a retractable roof.
