SS Lazio were founded in 1900 and are the oldest of Rome's major clubs, sharing the Stadio Olimpico with Roma in one of football's fiercest derbies. Lazio won Serie A in 1974 and again in 2000 under Sven-Göran Eriksson, with a team featuring Juan Sebastián Verón, Alessandro Nesta and Pavel Nedvěd. The club has also won the Coppa Italia several times and the 1999 Cup Winners' Cup.
