Atalanta come from Bergamo in Lombardy and are known for one of Italy's best youth academies. Under Gian Piero Gasperini, who arrived in 2016, the club was transformed from a provincial side into a Champions League regular with a distinctive, aggressive style. Atalanta's greatest night came in 2024, when they won the Europa League, beating unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final in Dublin. They play at the New Balance Arena.
