AS Roma were founded in 1927 through a merger of several clubs in the Italian capital and share the Stadio Olimpico with city rivals Lazio. Roma have won three Serie A titles, most recently in 2001, and Francesco Totti spent his entire 25-year career with the club, becoming its greatest icon. Under José Mourinho, Roma won the first UEFA Conference League in 2022 and reached the Europa League final a year later.
