A tall, composed centre-back who is comfortable on the ball, he quickly became one of the most promising young defenders in Europe. He was part of the Atalanta squad that won the 2024 Europa League, though an injury shortly before Euro 2024 cost him his place in Italy’s squad for the tournament.
Scalvini made his Italy debut in 2022.
