Biography

Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, known as Isco, grew up in Benalmádena near Málaga and came through Valencia’s academy before making his name at Málaga, where he won the Golden Boy award as Europe’s best young player in 2012.

Real Madrid signed him in 2013, and he won five Champions Leagues with the club, becoming one of the most technically gifted midfielders of his generation. After a spell at Sevilla, he joined Real Betis in 2023 and quickly became their captain and creative leader.

Isco has won 38 caps for Spain and played at the 2018 World Cup. His close control, vision and ability to keep the ball under pressure have always defined his game.
