Antony grew up in Osasco, on the edge of SΓ£o Paulo, and came through SΓ£o Paulo’s academy before moving to Ajax in 2020, where he won two Eredivisie titles.
Manchester United paid around Β£86 million for him in 2022, but he struggled to justify the fee. A loan move to Real Betis in January 2025 revived his career: he became one of La Liga’s most influential attackers and helped Betis reach the 2025 UEFA Conference League final, and the club later signed him permanently.
Antony is a left-footed winger who cuts in from the right. He has been capped by Brazil and won Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020.
