Kevin De Bruyne grew up in Drongen, near Ghent, and began his career at Genk, winning the Belgian title in 2011. Chelsea signed him in 2012, but after few opportunities he moved to Wolfsburg in 2014, where he was named Bundesliga Player of the Year and won the DFB-Pokal.
Manchester City signed him in 2015, and over ten seasons he became one of the greatest midfielders in Premier League history, winning six league titles, the 2023 Champions League and two PFA Player of the Year awards. His vision, passing and shooting from distance made him the creative heart of Pep Guardiola’s team.
He joined Napoli on a free transfer in 2025. De Bruyne has captained Belgium and played at several World Cups and European Championships, including the 2018 World Cup, where Belgium finished third.
