Playing style
Mamardashvili is a very tall goalkeeper with exceptional reach and reflexes. He is an excellent shot-stopper, particularly on the ground and in one-on-one situations, where his size makes him difficult to beat. At Valencia he was among the busiest goalkeepers in La Liga and regularly made decisive saves, winning the club points on his own. He is also comfortable with the ball at his feet, an important quality at Liverpool.
