Harvey Elliott grew up in London and became, at the time, the youngest player in Premier League history when he played for Fulham at 16 years and 30 days in 2019. Liverpool signed him that summer.
After a successful loan at Blackburn, he became a regular squad player at Liverpool and won the Premier League in 2024/25. He won the 2025 European Under-21 Championship with England, being named player of the tournament.
In 2026/27 he is on loan at Valencia in La Liga, a move arranged to give him regular first-team football.
Playing style
Elliott is a left-footed attacking midfielder who plays on the right or in central midfield. He is creative, with good close control and passing, and he has an eye for goal, including from long range. A serious ankle injury in 2021 interrupted his progress, but he recovered to become a valuable squad player at Liverpool, often decisive off the bench. His season-long loan at Valencia, agreed in September 2026, is designed to give him regular first-team football in La Liga.
International career
Elliott was named player of the tournament as England won the 2025 European Under-21 Championship, scoring in the final against Germany. He is regarded as a candidate for the senior squad.
Career in numbers
Since his first senior season in 2018/19, Elliott has made 203 club appearances and scored 23 goals in all competitions for 4 clubs. His best scoring return came in 2020/21: 7 goals in 43 appearances for Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers. His busiest campaign was 2023/24, with 53 appearances.
