Charles Oliveira to defend BMF title against Diego Lopes at UFC 335 in Las Vegas

Charles Oliveira will defend his BMF title against Diego Lopes in the main event of UFC 335 on December 12 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The UFC announced the fight during the UFC 332 broadcast on Saturday night, confirming the five-round lightweight bout to close out the promotion’s 2026 event schedule.

Oliveira, who holds a professional record of 37 wins, 11 losses, and one no contest, captured the BMF title earlier this year. He won the ceremonial belt at UFC 326 in March after a unanimous decision victory over Max Holloway, relying heavily on wrestling throughout the fight. The former UFC lightweight champion will now defend the belt for the first time.

Diego Lopes, who has spent much of his UFC career at featherweight, will move up to lightweight for this challenge. Lopes holds a record of 28 wins and 8 losses. He is a two-time challenger for the UFC featherweight title, having unsuccessfully faced Alexander Volkanovski for the belt on both occasions. Most recently, Lopes scored a knockout win over Steve Garcia at UFC Freedom 250 in June.

UFC 335 will also feature a middleweight bout between Bo Nickal and Joe Pyfer. Both fighters are ranked contenders in the 185-pound division. This matchup adds depth to the card, bringing two rising names together for a five-round fight.

The co-main event will see heavyweight fighters Alex Pereira and Sergei Pavlovich square off in another five-round battle. Both are established competitors in the division, and their clash is expected to draw significant attention.

In the flyweight division, Brandon Moreno will face Charles Johnson, adding another notable fight to the UFC 335 lineup.

The card, headlined by Oliveira’s BMF title defense against Lopes, offers a mix of veteran experience and emerging talent across multiple divisions, all set in the familiar setting of Las Vegas. The promotion’s announcement during UFC 332 confirmed the event as the final numbered card of the year, scheduled for December 12 at the T-Mobile Arena.
