Titans training camp: 30 players sidelined on Day 1

30 players sidelined on Day 1 of Titans training camp

The Tennessee Titans' training camp got off to a rocky start as 30 players were sidelined on Day 1 due to various injuries and ailments.

The team's head coach, Robert Saleh, mentioned that neither of the injuries to wide receiver Calvin Ridley (illness) and quarterback Mitch Trubisky (tightness) were serious, and both players should return quickly.

Saleh's optimism about Ridley's health was echoed by the player himself, who revealed that he had a "real bad stomach bug" that left him working to regain weight and strength.

Meanwhile, Trubisky is getting re-acclimated after getting tight during conditioning on the previous day.

Despite the setbacks, the team's coaching staff seems to be focusing on the positives, with Saleh highlighting the progress made by young players like Carnell Tate, who attended his first training camp practice.

The team's defensive line was also a topic of interest, with players like Solomon Thomas and John Franklin-Myers drawing attention for their skills on the field.

Titans' defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons took time to discuss his recent contract extension, stating that he had gotten it done before the season.
