Rams’ Puka Nacua suffers calf injury as McDuffie and Landman remain sidelined before Raiders game

Puka Nacua left Los Angeles Rams practice early on Thursday after suffering a calf injury, adding to the team’s growing list of concerns ahead of their game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The receiver was officially listed as a limited participant in the team's injury report, but the extent of the injury remains unclear.

The Rams are already missing two starters. Trent McDuffie, who has been sidelined with a groin injury, did not practice for the second consecutive day. McDuffie missed last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals due to the same issue. Nate Landman remains in concussion protocol and also did not take part in practice. Both players are considered significant losses for the Rams’ defense and special teams.

Despite these setbacks, some players returned to full participation. Josh Wallace and tight end Colby Parkinson, both reportedly dealing with minor injuries, practiced without restrictions. The Rams’ injury list otherwise remained unchanged on Thursday.

On the Raiders’ side, the injury situation showed signs of improvement. Brock Bowers, along with three other players, was upgraded from limited to full participation. Among those returning fully to practice was Kolton Miller, the Raiders’ starting left tackle. Tonka Hemingway moved from not practicing at all to limited participation, suggesting some progress in his recovery.

The only downgrade for Las Vegas came in the form of Mike Washington Jr., who was limited on Wednesday but did not practice on Thursday.

The Rams face the Raiders on Sunday with a roster dealing with multiple absences. The status of Nacua’s calf injury will be closely monitored over the next few days, as the team seeks to avoid further weakening its offensive options.

This update came from the latest official injury reports released on October 22 and was confirmed by Rams Wire and reporter Adam Grosbard.
