Strahinja Pavlović grew up in Šabac, Serbia, and came through Partizan Belgrade before joining Monaco in 2020. He spent time on loan in Belgium and Switzerland before moving to Red Bull Salzburg in 2022.
At Salzburg he developed into an aggressive, left-footed centre-back and won the Austrian title. AC Milan signed him in 2024.
Pavlović is a regular for Serbia and played at the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024.
Playing style
Pavlović is an aggressive, left-footed centre-back who is strong in the tackle and dominant in the air. He likes to step out of defence to win the ball early and is comfortable carrying it forward, sometimes all the way into the opposition half. His competitive spirit and physicality make him intimidating to play against, though his aggression can lead to yellow cards. At Red Bull Salzburg he developed his game in a high-pressing system, which prepared him well for the intensity of top-level football. At Milan he has become an important part of the defence.
International career
Pavlović made his Serbia debut in 2020 and has become a regular starter. He played at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and at Euro 2024, where he was one of Serbia’s most consistent performers.
Career in numbers
Since his first senior season in 2018/19, Pavlović has made 241 club appearances and scored 16 goals in all competitions for 6 clubs.
