Óscar Valentín grew up in Ajofrín, near Toledo, and played for Madrid-area clubs and Rayo Majadahonda before joining Rayo Vallecano in 2019.
He was part of the team that won promotion in 2021 and has become the club’s captain. Valentín is a hard-working defensive midfielder who wins the ball back and keeps possession simply, providing the balance that allows Rayo’s attacking players to express themselves.
