Lamar Jackson’s availability uncertain for Ravens vs. Falcons after ankle injury

Lamar Jackson’s availability for the Baltimore Ravens’ Sunday game against the Atlanta Falcons remains uncertain after he left last week’s win over the Tennessee Titans with an ankle injury. Jackson exited the game at M&T Bank Stadium wearing a protective boot on his left foot and did not return for the second half of the 24-18 victory.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter spoke about the injury but provided few details on the quarterback’s status. “I don’t know the chances yet; we’re still gathering a lot of the information and the imaging and things like that, just dealing with a little bit of an ankle,” Minter said. “We’ll kind of see where that shakes out. I have full trust and confidence in him that when it’s ready to roll, we’ll roll and go from there.”

When asked whether the injury might be short- or long-term, Minter added, “I really don’t think it’s going to be crazy long-term, but we’ll see what happens.”

Jackson’s potential absence would hand the starting role to backup Tyler Huntley, who has a 5-6 record as a starter when filling in for the Ravens. Huntley’s experience will be put to the test as Baltimore aims to secure its first 4-1 start since 2021.

The Ravens currently share first place in the AFC North with the Cleveland Browns. Their matchup against the Falcons is expected to be a key opportunity to build on their strong early-season form.

No further updates on Jackson’s condition have been confirmed ahead of Sunday’s game. The team continues to monitor the situation closely.
