India will try to seal their T20 series against the West Indies with a win in the fourth match in Hyderabad on Wednesday, October 14. Currently leading 2-1 in the five-match contest, India can clinch the series with one game remaining if they secure victory at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
The third T20I in Indore saw India set a competitive 223 runs before bowling out the West Indies for 209, winning by 14 runs. Abhishek Sharma’s aggressive 69 off 30 balls and Ishan Kishan’s brisk 37 from 18 deliveries powered India’s total. Arshdeep Singh was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 44 runs and helping restrict the visitors despite a late surge from Shamar Springer, who remained unbeaten with 35 off 11 balls.
West Indies bounced back in the second T20I in Ranchi, winning by six wickets after India had taken the first game in Lucknow by eight wickets. The series has swung between both sides, setting up a high-stakes fourth match for India to try and wrap it up.
Shreyas Iyer leads India’s side as they seek to confirm their dominance before the series heads to the final game in Bengaluru on October 17. The Hyderabad match kicks off at 7 p.m. local time, which translates to 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time in North America.
Fans in the United States and Canada can watch the match live on Willow TV. For those without cable, the match is available through Fubo and Fubo Canada, with Fubo offering a free trial for new subscribers in the US. The first T20 was streamed free on Fubo, but the remaining four matches, including this one, require access to Willow TV.
India’s strong batting in the third T20I gave them a platform to defend, but the West Indies lineup showed resilience, especially in the late overs. Arshdeep Singh’s three wickets helped stem the flow, but Shamar Springer’s late hitting kept the visitors competitive until the end.
The series schedule has seen each team claim victories on home soil. India took the opener in Lucknow on October 6, West Indies rallied in Ranchi on October 9, and India responded with their recent win in Indore on October 11. The Hyderabad match presents an opportunity for India to assert control.
The final T20I will be played in Bengaluru on October 17 regardless of Wednesday’s result, but a win in Hyderabad would allow India to celebrate the series early.
As the fourth match approaches, all eyes will be on whether India’s batting can once again post a formidable total and if their bowlers can contain the West Indies lineup, which has shown it can fight back under pressure.
