Florida State softball announced its 2027 schedule featuring 55 games, with 26 at JoAnne Graf Field and participation in five regular-season tournaments. The Seminoles will face a challenging lineup, including 13 opponents who qualified for last season’s NCAA Tournament.
The season opens on February 11 in the inaugural Sarasota Classic at the newly built 17th Street Regional Sports Complex. FSU will face the JMU Dukes first, followed by Baylor on February 12. The Seminoles will then play a doubleheader on February 13 against Texas State and Alabama, finishing the tournament with a game against Ohio State on February 14.
Florida State’s home opener is set for February 25 against the FAMU Rattlers. This game kicks off the JoAnne Graf Classic, which runs through February 28 and includes Maryland, Middle Tennessee State, and Southern Illinois.
The team will return to Alabama for the Tournament of Champions from March 12 to 14. The Seminoles’ opponents include Fresno State twice, Cal State Fullerton once, and Alabama again in the final game of the event.
ACC play begins on March 19 with a road series at North Carolina. Their first home ACC series will be against Stanford from March 26 to 28. The conference slate also includes games against California, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Virginia, and Duke.
The Florida State-Florida rivalry remains a highlight on the schedule. The Seminoles will host the Gators on April 21 and travel to Gainesville a week later on April 28 for their annual meetings.
The Florida State softball Twitter account shared the schedule details, noting the team’s travel route is managed by Team 44. Tickets for the games are available through official channels.
This season offers a dense and competitive lineup, with nearly half the opponents coming off NCAA Tournament appearances. The mix of early-season tournaments and key conference clashes will test the Seminoles as they look ahead to postseason aspirations.
