Rain washed out Saturday night's game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, forcing the two teams into a split doubleheader on Sunday.
The postponement in New York means both games will now be played on the same day, with the first set to begin at 12:35 p.m. Eastern (9:35 a.m. Pacific).
The series finale is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. Eastern (4:20 p.m. Pacific).
The Dodgers did not immediately say whether the rainout would change their pitching plans. Emmet Sheehan had been lined up to start Saturday, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto due to pitch Sunday.
Because of the doubleheader, the team will be allowed to call up an extra player for Sunday.
It will be the Dodgers' first doubleheader since May 2024, when a rainout during a visit to the Mets forced two games in one day.
The broadcast plans also shifted. Sunday's first game will air on SportsNet LA after originally being slated for Fox's national broadcast on Saturday night. The Sunday night game stays on NBC and Peacock.
Weather was always going to be a factor on the Dodgers' current East Coast road trip. The forecast has brought rain, muggy summer heat and even poor air quality from Canadian wildfire smoke, which cleared up in time for Friday's series opener at Yankee Stadium.
The schedule beyond New York is busy. After Sunday night's game, the Dodgers head to Philadelphia for three games against the Phillies.
On Thursday, they travel to Washington for a White House visit to celebrate their 2025 World Series title.
The nine-game swing wraps up next weekend with a series against the Mets.
For now, the Dodgers can only hope Saturday's rainout is the only disruption to their plans on the trip.
