Brentford were founded in 1889 in west London and returned to the top flight in 2021 for the first time since 1947. Their rise was built on a data-led approach to recruitment under owner Matthew Benham, which helped the club find undervalued players and sell them at a profit. In 2020 Brentford moved from Griffin Park to the Gtech Community Stadium, and they have since established themselves as a Premier League club.
