Roma Close in on €17 Million Molina Deal

Roma are closing in on a deal worth €17 million to sign Atlético Madrid's Nahuel Molina.

The agreement with Atlético has been reached, and the final details are being sorted out. This marks the third signing for Roma this transfer window, following deals for Castro and Koulierakis.

Roma had initially considered Givairo Read, a 2006-born Dutchman owned by Feyenoord, but deemed the Rotterdam club's demands excessive.

Instead, they opted for Molina, who is currently playing for Atlético Madrid.

Yesterday, Roma presented Atlético with an offer of €17 million, including bonuses, to bring Molina back to Italy. This sum is significantly lower than the €30 million Feyenoord was asking for Read.

According to Matteo Moretto, the deal between Roma and Molina is very close to being finalized and could be completed between today and tomorrow.

The transfer window is drawing to a close, and Roma are making a push to strengthen their squad.

Roma's new sporting director will have to focus on other priorities once Molina is on board.

The next task will be to secure the services of an attacking winger, with Nusa and Fofana remaining in pole position.

Fabrizio Romano adds that Atlético Madrid has accepted Roma's offer of €13 million + €4 million in bonuses: direct contact is underway with the player's team to finalize the final details.

The deal is almost there, but the finishing line is not yet crossed.

As Roma close in on the Molina deal, fans will be eagerly waiting to see their new signing in action.

The transfer saga is nearing its end, but the real work begins when the new season kicks off.
