The Savannah Bananas will bring their Banana Ball Championship, the Banana Bowl, to Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on September 25, 2027. The team confirmed the date and venue on October 15, marking a return to the city after recent stops at Nissan Stadium in 2025 and First Horizon Park in June 2026.
Banana Ball is a fast-paced, unconventional take on baseball that mixes sport with entertainment. It strips away traditional rules to speed up the game and engage fans directly. Instead of runs, teams compete to win innings, with games capped at two hours. Unique features include foul balls caught by fans counting as outs, no walks, and encouraged trick plays. Players mingle with the crowd before the game, signing autographs and performing choreographed dances. Pitchers often join fans after finishing on the mound.
Alongside Nashville, the Bananas’ 2027 schedule will include stops in Knoxville and Memphis. The Indianapolis Clowns and the Tailgaters are set to play June 4-5 at Covenant Health Park, while the Party Animals and the Clowns will meet April 2-3 at AutoZone Park in Memphis.
Interest in the Banana Bowl remains high, so tickets will not be sold through a traditional public sale. Instead, the Bananas are running a free ticket lottery open now through October 31, 2026. Fans can enter via the team’s official website. Selection is random, and signing up earlier does not improve chances. Those chosen will receive an invitation to purchase up to five tickets during a specific sales window.
Banana Ball’s blend of baseball, fan participation, and live entertainment has made Nashville a favoured stop. The event at Nissan Stadium in 2025 and the game at First Horizon Park in 2026 drew enthusiastic crowds, cementing the city’s place on the Bananas’ itinerary.
Diana Leyva of The Tennessean noted the unique atmosphere the Bananas bring, with players arriving hours early in uniform to interact with fans. The appeal lies in the mixture of sport and showmanship, making the Banana Bowl more than just a baseball game.
The ticket lottery remains open, with the deadline approaching at midnight on October 31, 2026. Fans hoping to experience the Banana Bowl at Nissan Stadium next September have a limited window to secure their chance.
