Toni Breidinger Dares to Be Different on the NASCAR Track
Toni Breidinger is the most popular driver in NASCAR's top three national touring circuits, with a massive following of over 5.8 million fans across social media platforms.
Breidinger, the first Arab-American woman to compete in the top level of stockcar racing, has been relatively quiet on the track this year due to her part-time schedule with Rackley W.A.R. Her last NASCAR appearance was at the May 15 race at Dover, where she drove the No. 27 Chevrolet in the Craftsman Truck Series.
In contrast, Breidinger has been thriving outside of racing. She recently won a competition at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway on July 11, driving late-models and showcasing her skills in a different discipline. Days later, she was spotted on the red carpet at the ESPYs, highlighting her ability to balance her on-track aspirations with her modeling career.
Breidinger is set to return to NASCAR this weekend, driving the No. 27 Chevrolet with a Celsius paint scheme in the TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in Brownsburg, Indiana on Friday, July 24 at 8 p.m. ET.
Breidinger's unique approach to racing and her partnerships with brands like Kristin Ess Hair are helping to pave the way for female drivers in the sport. "It's definitely special to get their support," Breidinger told USA TODAY Sports. "There's this new wave of partners coming in and supporting female drivers. It just makes so much sense."
Breidinger's ability to connect with brands and her passion for her femininity are setting her apart from her male counterparts. "I think it's brands that we truly align with and use, like, for me on race day, everyone's asking, 'How does your hair look like that when you're racing in the heat?' And I'm like, it's these products," she said.
Breidinger's return to NASCAR this weekend is highly anticipated, and fans will be eager to see her back in action. With her unique blend of racing and modeling skills, she is sure to continue making waves in the sport.
