Vote now for Tennessee high school football’s top touchdown plays through Oct. 16

Tennessee high school football fans have until noon on October 16 to vote for the state’s top touchdown plays from the week ending October 2. The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) has compiled a selection of standout moments, inviting supporters to watch the highlights and pick their favorite.

Among the plays is Sevier County’s Cooper Newman connecting on a 78-yard touchdown pass to Parker Newman during a narrow loss to Grace Christian of Knoxville. Cooper Newman recently set Tennessee’s all-time career touchdown pass record, adding weight to this long scoring strike.

Southwind quarterback Malcolm Jack pulled off a 22-yard rushing touchdown on a bootleg option in his team’s 40-28 victory over Whitehaven. At Brentwood Academy, Ole Miss commit Crews Jenkins recovered from a shotgun snap drop to find Hutch Weber for a touchdown against Briarcrest.

Antioch’s quarterback Andre Adams, a commit to Colorado, showed physicality by dragging defenders on a run before being tackled. FRA’s Jack Nimitz delivered an 8-yard touchdown pass to Josh Wilson in their game against Antioch, fitting the ball into a tight space.

Austin-East quarterback Landon Lightfoot threw to Marcos McCord for a first-half touchdown as the team put up 50 points in their win over Gatlinburg-Pittman. Collierville’s Brayden Santibanez found London Shaw on a 25-yard touchdown pass in their matchup with Lausanne.

Pearl-Cohn’s Deshawn Cotten sprinted 37 yards after catching a pass from LJ Funk, helping the Firebirds secure a win over Greenbrier. McKenzie’s Cole Brown connected with Kason Brown on an 80-yard touchdown pass during a 63-0 shutout of Hollow Rock-Burceton.

TSSAA has made it easy for fans to vote by watching the plays video at the top of their page and clicking on the image at the bottom of the article to register their choice. The poll closes at noon on October 16.

Players, coaches, and fans who want to submit their own highlight videos for future consideration can upload them through the official TSSAA link, which accepts footage from all high school sports. This initiative continues to capture the most dynamic moments across Tennessee’s high school athletics.
