Saudi club Al-Hilal have agreed a deal worth £60m to sign winger Crysencio Summerville from West Ham.
The Netherlands international, 24, has clearance to undergo a medical after a deal worth an initial £55m and a further £5m in add-ons was accepted by the Hammers on Tuesday afternoon.
West Ham had previously rejected an offer in the region of £40m for Summerville, who was also reportedly a target for Aston Villa, but a move to the Riyadh-based club is now expected.
The Hammers were relegated from the Premier League in May and have been looking to cut their wage bill and raise funds.
They have opted to keep manager Nuno Espirito Santo on as they bid to earn promotion back to the top flight during their 2026-27 campaign.
The sale of Summerville and midfielder Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham for £85m last month will provide a significant boost to West Ham’s finances as they navigate their Championship campaign.
West Ham’s decision to keep manager Nuno Espirito Santo on board suggests they are committed to their bid to earn promotion back to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, the sale of Summerville to Al-Hilal will see the winger link up with a club that has a strong reputation for developing young talent.
The deal is expected to be completed in the coming days once Summerville has undergone his medical and completed the necessary paperwork.
After the match, Al-Hilal’s new signing is expected to join up with his new teammates and begin preparations for the upcoming season.
