4 Wickets from Mandhana Power Super Giants to Victory over Sunrisers

Smriti Mandhana's masterful 88 off 50 balls powered Manchester Super Giants to a four-wicket win over Sunrisers Leeds, maintaining their unbeaten start to The Hundred.

Mandhana's unflappable temperament at Headingley was the key as she skilfully paced a chase of 143 despite wickets falling around her.

The India opener's sixth half-century in the tournament was her top score and included seven fours and four sixes.

Sunrisers' top scorer Sutherland made 35 off 24 balls, striking four fours, in their total of 142-4.

Bryony Smith and Phoebe Litchfield also chipped in with 26 and 31 respectively, while Dani Gibson gave the innings late impetus with 18 off six balls.

Grace Ballinger was the most economical of the Super Giants bowlers, but spinner Sophie Ecclestone had a rare off day, going for 30 in her allocation.

The win keeps Manchester Super Giants on track, but their opponents will look to bounce back in the competition.

The Hundred continues on Wednesday with double-headers in Cardiff and London, where Welsh Fire's women face Trent Rockets at 11:30 BST, and MI London's women take on London Spirit at 15:00 BST.

At The Oval, it's derby day as MI London's women face London Spirit, and their men's sides meet at 18:30 BST, both sides looking to gain early momentum in the race for the knockout stages.
