Sevilla has signed Scottish striker Robbie Ure on a contract until 2031, the club announced Tuesday.
The 22-year-old forward joins from Swedish side IK Sirius, where he scored 15 goals in 15 appearances in the current league season. Ure, who has represented Scotland up to the under-21 level, also notched 10 goals in his last six games with Sirius.
Sevilla finished 13th in last season's Spanish league, one point above the relegation zone. The club makes its debut this season against Rayo Vallecano at home on Saturday.
Robbie Ure's transfer from IK Sirius to Sevilla marks a significant move for the young Scottish striker. Ure came through the youth academy at Glasgow Rangers before moving to Belgium, where he joined Anderlecht's youth squads ahead of his move to Sirius.
Sevilla's signing of Ure is seen as a boost to the team's attacking lineup. The club's management will be hoping Ure's goal-scoring form will translate to the Spanish league.
The 22-year-old striker's impressive goal record in Sweden has caught the attention of Sevilla's coaching staff. Ure's contract with the Spanish club runs until 2031.
Sevilla's upcoming match against Rayo Vallecano will be a crucial test for the team, including its new signing Robbie Ure. The match takes place at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on Saturday.
