The question on everyone's mind: who will join the roster of champions that includes Nate Lashley, Bryson DeChambeau, Cam Davis (twice), Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler, and Aldrich Potgieter?

The Detroit News' experts weigh in with their top picks for the final Rocket Classic. Tony Paul, sports writer, goes with 21-year-old Jackson Koivun, fresh off his first PGA Tour win at the 3M Open. "We'll pick him to go back-to-back at 3M and Rocket, like Tony Finau in 2022," Paul says. FanDuel odds: +2000.

Angelique S. Chengelis, sports writer, predicts Cameron Young will win the Rocket, his third victory of the year. Young was runner-up at the British Open and tied for third at the Masters, and has been consistent throughout the season. FanDuel odds: +1000.

John Niyo, sports columnist, chooses Hideki Matsuyama, who has made three top-25s at Detroit Golf Club, including a 13th-place finish last summer. Matsuyama has shown his ability to go low, winning The Sentry with a PGA Tour-record 35-under in January. FanDuel odds: +3000.

Craig Yuhas, assistant sports editor, expects a close finish with the tougher conditions bringing more big names to the top of the leaderboard. He's doubling down on Akshay Bhatia, who fell just short in 2024. FanDuel odds: +3500.

The Rocket Classic has been a staple of the PGA Tour in Detroit, with a field of 147 players competing for the championship. The course has undergone renovations, making it a slightly tougher test for the players. With one of the best fields the Rocket has ever had, it's anyone's game.
