In 2023/24 he had one of the great seasons in recent Bundesliga history, scoring 28 league goals as Stuttgart finished second. Borussia Dortmund signed him in 2024, and he kept scoring, including in the Champions League, where he was among the competition’s top scorers in 2024/25.
Guirassy represents Guinea, the country of his family, after playing for France at youth level. He is a powerful, clinical centre-forward who is strong in the air.
Playing style
Guirassy is a powerful, clinical centre-forward. He is strong in the air, holds the ball up well and finishes with either foot, often needing only one touch. He is a natural goalscorer who is at his most dangerous inside the penalty area, but he also links play with team-mates and presses defenders. His 28 Bundesliga goals for Stuttgart in 2023/24 came despite missing several games through injury, a sign of his efficiency. At Dortmund he has continued to score regularly in the Bundesliga and in Europe.
