He has been capped by France.
Playing style
Kalulu is a quick, intelligent defender who can play at centre-back or right-back. He reads the game well, is composed on the ball and uses his pace to recover when opponents break. At Milan he emerged almost unexpectedly as a regular in the title-winning season of 2021/22, playing with a maturity beyond his years. Injuries later interrupted his progress, but his move to Juventus gave him a fresh start, and he has become a dependable part of the defence. His versatility is valuable in a squad that often changes formation.
International career
Kalulu represented France at every youth level, including the Under-21s, and has been named in senior France squads. Competition for places in the French defence is among the fiercest in international football.
Career in numbers
Since his first senior season in 2020/21, Kalulu has made 204 club appearances and scored 6 goals in all competitions for 2 clubs. The full season-by-season record is in the Stats section of this profile.
