The New York Giants will face off against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 of the preseason, and Fantasy Football managers are eagerly awaiting the matchup to catch a glimpse of their top players.
Fantasy Football managers will be watching closely to see how Jeremiyah Love, the Cardinals' rookie running back, performs in his first taste of the NFL. With an average draft position between 25th and 30th overall, Love has piqued the interest of many Fantasy managers due to his outstanding speed and complete profile.
Meanwhile, Ashton Jeanty, who was a popular player to watch last year, will once again be a focus against Arizona's defense on Thursday. Jeanty averaged 3.1 yards per carry with one two-yard catch along with a goal-line touchdown across 13 touches in three games, and it will be worth watching how he does.
But perhaps the bigger focus should be on the Raiders' passing game, particularly with rookie No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza expected to receive "plenty of experience" in the game, according to Coach Klint Kubiak. However, Kirk Cousins will start, and Fantasy managers will be interested in seeing who starts with Cousins at wide receiver and how they line up.
Another player to keep an eye on is Malik Benson, the Raiders' WR, who has turned heads in camp and may eventually elevate himself into a decent role as soon as this season. Benson's got the kind of size both Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza have gravitated to over their pro and college careers.
In other news, the Packers plan to play their starters for a limited amount of time, with Matthew Golden and MarShawn Lloyd being two of the top players to watch. Golden is reportedly handling outside receiver duties and appears to be firmly part of the starting lineup.
Roman Wilson and Germie Bernard, WRs for the Steelers, are also sleepers to watch, as they could feasibly play a short-area role to benefit Rodgers getting the ball out quickly. However, it's unclear how much Wilson will play.
The New York Giants will also face off against the Titans, who plan to play their starters for more than just a series, according to coach Robert Saleh. This means that Cam Ward, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Carnell Tate will be among the top players to watch in this matchup.
De'Zhaun Stribling, WR for the 49ers, and Nick Singleton, RB for the Titans, are also sleepers to watch, with Stribling offering a big-bodied presence and Singleton having a chance to leap over Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears for playing time.
The Falcons and Broncos will also face off, with Tua Tagovailoa starting at quarterback for the Falcons. However, it's unclear if many of the Broncos' starters will play, as Bo Nix will sit out this week.
