Marissa Bataille Daly appointed PGA of America CMO to enhance brand and fan engagement

Marissa Bataille Daly will take over as chief marketing officer at the PGA of America starting October 5, the organization announced. She leaves her role as senior vice president of studios and marketing for the Los Angeles Rams to lead the golf body’s brand, marketing, social, and content efforts.

Daly brings nearly 20 years of experience in sports marketing, having managed large teams and orchestrated fan engagement across live events, digital platforms, and original content. At the Rams, she oversaw a 50-person operation responsible for creative, production, digital marketing, game presentation, and social and influencer strategy. Her leadership covered all audience touchpoints, including game-day presentation inside the stadium and digital broadcasts.

During her tenure with the Rams, Daly directed marketing campaigns for six playoff runs, including two Super Bowls, and executive produced original programs ranging from documentary series to branded short-form content. Her work focused on combining storytelling with audience insights to support commercial partnerships.

Before joining the Rams, Daly spent several years at Yahoo Sports in senior marketing and product roles, where she was involved with major NFL initiatives and global sports projects aimed at audience growth and new product launches.

PGA of America CEO Terry Clark, appointed in February, said Daly “knows how to turn a strong sports brand into an experience that connects with people.” Clark added that she “has led talented teams, created memorable game days and found new ways to engage audiences before, during and after major events.” He expects Daly to help “tell members’ stories, reach more golfers and audiences, and make the group’s championships even more compelling.”

The PGA of America is one of the largest sports organizations worldwide, with over 30,000 golf professionals as members. The association did not have a standalone CMO before Daly’s appointment. Instead, its marketing, media, and interactive teams reported to Jeff Price, the first chief commercial officer since 2014, who left the organization in January amid an executive reshuffle.

Daly will work across the PGA of America to raise the profile of its golf professionals, strengthen the brand, expand audience engagement, and improve the fan experience around its championships. She said members “welcome people to golf, help them improve and give them reasons to keep playing,” adding that they also “lead facilities, strengthen communities and drive the game’s continued growth.”

Her responsibilities will include shaping how the PGA of America presents its story to a wider audience, increasing interest in the sport, and elevating the impact of its major events.

The PGA of America confirmed Daly’s start date as October 5.
