Kentucky's Will Stein will have a significant decision to make in the coming weeks, with the fate of the team's season hanging in the balance.
Will Stein, the Wildcats' new head coach, will have to decide whether to stick with starting quarterback Kenny Minchey, a transfer from Notre Dame who has shown promising numbers in his limited playing time.
Minchey has appeared in 10 games, completing 79.3% of his attempts for 212 yards. However, to make a significant impact on the team's season, he will need to put up much more impressive numbers.

- Babe Parilli (1949-51)
Parilli was a first-team All-America selection in consecutive seasons (1950 and 1951) and finished among the top four in Heisman Trophy voting those years. The 1950 club won 10 games and the SEC championship. His 50 touchdown passes still rank fourth in school history.
- Andre Woodson (2004-07)
Woodson holds school records for career TD tosses (79) and most in a single season (40 in 2007). He also threw 325 passes without an interception, which was an NCAA record at the time. Though it's since been surpassed, Woodson's place in UK's history is secure.
- Jared Lorenzen (2000-03)
Lorenzen is at the top of the charts in numerous categories for UK. He accounted for 10,637 yards of total offense during his career, nearly 2,000 more than his closest competition (Woodson at 8,870).
- Tim Couch (1996-98)
Couch is the most accurate quarterback in program history, completing more than 67% of his attempts. He holds the top five single-game marks for most completions, all 40 or more. Couch also holds the top two spots in the Cats' record book for most passing yards in a season: He threw for 3,884 yards in 1997, then upped it to 4,275 in 1998.
With these legendary quarterbacks in mind, Stein will have a tough decision to make when it comes to choosing his starting quarterback. Will Minchey be able to live up to the standards set by these UK greats? Only time will tell.
