Indiana Fever guard injured during final game against Minnesota Lynx

Indiana Fever guard Tyasha Harris left Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Lynx with a left ankle injury and did not return. Harris went down with 3:30 remaining in the third quarter after colliding with Lynx defender Nia Brodie while attempting a layup.

Harris drove to the basket, took a dribble, and planted on her left foot before going up for a right-handed layup. Brodie slid across to defend her, and the two players collided in the lane. Harris landed awkwardly on her left ankle and immediately fell to the floor, reaching toward her ankle in visible pain.

Several teammates, including Monique Billings, Myisha Hines-Allen, Raven Johnson, and Sophie Cunningham, quickly gathered around Harris. Cunningham signaled for the team trainers, who came onto the court to tend to her injury. After several minutes of treatment, Harris was helped off the floor by the medical staff.

This injury came as the second setback for the Fever during the game. Center Aliyah Boston had suffered a right lower leg injury late in the second quarter and did not return to the court.

Harris, a backup point guard for the Fever, is a native of Fishers, Indiana, and played college basketball at Heritage Christian. She has faced significant injury struggles in recent years. Last season, Harris suffered a season-ending patellar injury just five games in. She underwent surgery in June of 2025 and was not cleared to play until March of 2026.

The severity of Thursday’s ankle injury to Harris has not been confirmed. The Fever and team medical staff have not released further details, and it is unclear if this injury will impact her availability moving forward.
