Tottenham Hotspur ended their pre-season campaign on a high note with a 3-0 friendly win over Hoffenheim at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
Mikey Moore scored twice in the match, both times linking up with Mathys Tel. The French forward provided a well-judged run in the 59th minute, which Moore poked home after Tel's ball from the left. Twenty minutes later, Moore shot into the bottom corner after further fine work from Tel down the left.
Richarlison gave Spurs the lead in the 35th minute, finishing with his left foot after a ball across the area from Andy Robertson. Robertson, a recent signing from Liverpool, was involved in the goal that kick-started Tottenham's winning run.
Spurs will finish their pre-season campaign with a second match against German side Hoffenheim at their London training ground on Sunday. Tottenham's Premier League campaign begins on August 22 away to fellow London club Brentford.
England full-back Djed Spence was not involved in the match, having completed a move to Inter Milan earlier.
Spurs' unbeaten pre-season record is a testament to their strong squad depth and cohesion. The team has won five matches, including a penalty shootout victory, and drawn one of their six matches under Roberto de Zerbi's leadership.
Spurs will look to build on their momentum when they face Hoffenheim again on Sunday. The match will be a chance for the team to fine-tune their tactics and prepare for the challenges of the Premier League season ahead.
