Girona FC eSports has signed Brazilian gamer Guga Ferraz for the 2026/27 season, adding an 18-year-old talent with a growing reputation on the international EA SPORTS FC circuit. Ferraz, known in the competitive scene as GugaFerraz, will wear the red-and-white shirt in both domestic and global tournaments.
Ferraz comes into the Girona setup after a year that saw him make significant strides in eSports football. During 2026, he secured a third-fourth place finish at the eLibertadores and was runner-up at the eLiga Portugal Finals. He also lifted two trophies: the Taça eLiga Portugal and the second phase of the eLiga Portugal, underlining his capacity to perform in high-pressure situations.
On the international stage, Ferraz competed in the FC Pro 26 Open, the 2026 eChampions League, and the FC Pro 26 World Championship. He placed between ninth and sixteenth in the latter two tournaments and took second place in the FC Pro 26 Open Cup earlier in the year in the LatAm South region. These results reflect a player steadily carving out a place among the sport’s elite.
Before joining Girona FC eSports, Ferraz had experience representing Manchester City at some of the biggest events in the FC Pro scene. His move to Girona signals a new chapter where he will focus on developing further while competing at the highest level throughout the coming season.
Born on 16 August 2008, Ferraz’s rapid rise through the ranks has drawn attention within the eSports community. His record in 2026 demonstrated consistency across multiple formats and locations, something Girona FC eSports will hope to build on.
The club has confirmed the signing without disclosing contract length or financial details. Ferraz’s debut for Girona FC eSports is expected to come early in the 2026/27 season as the team prepares for a range of domestic and international EA SPORTS FC competitions.
