The Dodgers' Max Muncy hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, breaking a tie and handing the Dodgers a 2-1 win against the Phillies on Tuesday.
Inclement weather delayed the start of the game by over an hour, but the Dodgers managed to avoid their second cancellation of the week.
Justin Wrobleski got the ball for the Dodgers, pitching a solid outing despite the early deficit. Philadelphia scored their first run in the first inning, as Bryce Harper doubled with two outs before Alec Bohm drove him in with a single. Wrobleski shut the hosts down afterwards, allowing just the one run in 6.1 innings of work.
Wrobleski struck out seven batters, tying his fourth-highest total of the season, and logged his seventh quality start of the year.
The Dodgers nearly scored their first run in the top of the third inning, but catcher Eliezer Alfonzo was thrown out at home after a double. They claimed the lead in the top of the fourth, thanks to Muncy's 421-foot homer into the trees in center field.
The Dodgers didn't generate much offense for the remainder of the game, but the one-run advantage proved to be enough to tie up the series. Eric Lauer, originally slated to pitch Tuesday, will start the series finale on Wednesday, which starts at 3:40 p.m. PT.
Max Muncy's two-run homer marked the second time this roadtrip he has single-handedly driven in all of the Dodgers' runs in a winning effort.
