Diomande's Turkey Transfer Fee Could Reach £5m

Rangers midfielder Mohamed Diomande is expected to complete a transfer to Turkish Super Lig club Corum in a deal reportedly worth £4.5m, although sources suggest the fee could rise to £5m.

Corum are discussing the final details with Rangers, with Diomande expected in Istanbul on Monday for a medical and contract talks.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Corum for some time, with the Turkish club reportedly making an official offer of £4.8m for the player.

Rangers are also exploring a deal for Aston Villa right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic, with the 20-year-old Serbian defender said to be available on a season-long loan.

PSV Eindhoven head coach Peter Bosz has revealed that Rangers transfer target Couhaib Driouech was left out of their Eredivisie opener against Fortuna Sittard due to a lack of fitness, as the Ibrox club look to strike a £7m deal.

Rangers remain in talks with PSV Eindhoven over a deal for the 24-year-old winger, with Burnley and Celta Vigo also interested in signing the player.

The Ibrox club have had a £6m bid rejected for Driouech, but they are expected to continue negotiations with PSV Eindhoven in a bid to secure the signing.

In other transfer news, Celtic have joined Ipswich Town in "monitoring the situation" over Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope's future, while Rangers had a £22m bid rejected for Galatasaray striker Youssef Chermiti.

The interest in Pope's future comes as the 34-year-old goalkeeper looks to leave Newcastle United, with Celtic and Ipswich Town both believed to be interested in signing the player.

Rangers are also considering loan options for Motherwell midfielder Zander McAllister, who has attracted interest from clubs in the Championship down to League Two.

The 18-year-old midfielder has been involved in first-team squads at Motherwell, but the club are now considering loan options for the player as they look to give him more playing experience.

Meanwhile, former Motherwell head coach Jens Berthel Askou has spoken about his decision to leave the club and take up the role of head coach at Toulouse.

Askou said he was tempted to stay with Motherwell and take the club to the next level, but the offer of being Toulouse head coach was too interesting to turn down.

The 44-year-old Danish coach has a reputation for developing young players, and his appointment at Toulouse is seen as a major coup for the French club.

In other transfer news, Bournemouth centre-back Matai Akinmboni is training with Dundee with a view to a season-long loan deal.

Genoa have expressed an interest in 23-year-old Hibernian midfielder Josh Mulligan, while Sheffield United have made an improved offer of £8m for Leicester City's 27-year-old centre-back Harry Souttar.

Aston Villa 20-year-old Rory Wilson is among the targets for Swedish club IFK Gothenburg as they seek to replace outgoing Scottish striker Robbie Ure, who has joined Sevilla in a deal worth £7.85m.

Ure's transfer to Sevilla is worth £7.7m to his current club Sirius, with the striker expected to arrive in Spain on Monday for a medical and to sign a contract.
