David Montgomery's ADP has skyrocketed from pick No. 60 to No. 49 in the past week as Fantasy players are intrigued by his upside as the lead back for the Texans.
The Texans' running back situation has become more intriguing with Montgomery's rise, as he finished as the RB27 in PPR leagues last year. He will be competing with Jahmyr Gibbs for carries, but his ADP increase suggests that Fantasy players are taking notice of his potential.
The Fantasy football ADP continues to solidify as the preseason winds down, with Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, and Ja'Marr Chase going off the board first on average. Meanwhile, David Montgomery's ADP increase has made him a more attractive option for Fantasy players.
According to the model from SportsLine, Montgomery is not the only player to keep an eye on. Alec Pierce, the Colts' wide receiver, is also a sleeper pick, despite rehabbing an ankle injury in camp. He finished last year as a top-25 Fantasy WR with a 47-1003-6 receiving line.
Pierce's ADP has slipped to around No. 79 overall, down nearly 10 slots in recent days, as the Colts are reportedly adding veteran Keenan Allen to the receiver mix. However, SportsLine's model is extremely high on Pierce's outlook, ranking him above receivers such as Maik Nabers and Justin Jefferson.
Jaxson Dart, the Giants' quarterback, is also a breakout pick according to the model. He had a solid rookie season, throwing for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He added 487 yards and nine scores on the ground.
Dart's ADP is currently at pick No. 105, but SportsLine's model ranks him ahead of players like Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, and Justin Herbert, all QBs being drafted before him. This suggests that Dart could be a steal at his current ADP.
On the other hand, Kenneth Walker III, the Chiefs' running back, is a player to avoid according to the model. His Fantasy stock is sky high after he was dominant in the playoffs last year, but he joins a Kansas City backfield without a lot of competition.
Walker's ADP is currently at pick No. 20 overall, up two slots in recent days, but SportsLine's model ranks backs such as Jeremiyah Love, D'Andre Swift, and Bucky Irving higher, making Walker a player to avoid in upcoming Fantasy drafts.
SportsLine's model has also identified a surprising tight end as a top-8 option ahead of stars like Travis Kelce and Sam LaPorta. This tight end is listed as a shocking top-8 option, but the model's prediction will only be revealed at SportsLine.
Fans will have to wait to see who this tight end is, but one thing is certain: the 2026 Fantasy football season is shaping up to be an exciting one, with many players to keep an eye on. As the preseason winds down, Fantasy players will be eagerly awaiting the start of the regular season to see which players will live up to their ADP and which will surprise them.
