Anthony Wint is making his UFC debut in just nine days, after Dana White granted his wish for a quick turnaround following his dominant win on Contender Series.

The 30-year-old heavyweight will face fellow newcomer Terrance Chatman at UFC Sacramento next weekend (Sat., Aug. 22, 2026) inside Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

Wint ran through Matt Adams in just 34 seconds on Contender Series earlier this week, improving his undefeated professional record to 7-0. He owns an 85 percent finish rate with five knockouts and one submission.

Before transitioning to mixed martial arts, Wint played linebacker and spent time with the New York Jets. After his football career ended, he turned his attention to fighting and eventually captured the Fury FC Heavyweight championship.

Chatman (5-1) enters UFC following a first-round stoppage win over Juan Torres, whom he battered with leg kicks until the referee intervened. He owns an 80 percent finish rate with four knockouts, while his lone professional loss came via split decision against Myron Dennis.

Both Heavyweight newcomers will make their Octagon debuts with just nine days' notice, as the rest of the UFC Sacramento card is stacked with exciting matchups, including Anthony Hernandez vs. Gregory Rodrigues and Serghei Spivac vs. Vitor Petrino.

Wint's aggressive style and impressive finish rate have made him an exciting prospect in the heavyweight division, and fans will be eager to see how he performs in the Octagon against Chatman.

The event will be broadcast live on ESPN, and fans can also catch the action on the UFC Fight Pass.

Chatman's impressive knockout victory over Juan Torres will be a key factor in his matchup against Wint, as he looks to build on his momentum in the UFC.
