Cyr arrived in Gainesville ahead of the 2025 campaign after spending his first two years with the Miami Hurricanes. As a senior last spring, he started all 56 games he appeared in, setting career highs in batting average, hits, doubles, and runs.
He slashed .316 with 68 hits, 15 doubles, and 53 runs, while swatting 14 homers along with one triple, 58 RBI, and 20 walks in 215 at-bats. Cyr also got on base at a .398 clip and stole six bases in eight tries.
The Windermere, Florida, native did not commit an error until the final game of the season, finishing with a .990 fielding percentage and one assist over 104 defensive chances. He earned a spot on the ABCA/Rawlings Second Team Southeast All-Region for his efforts in 2026.
Before joining the Gators, Cyr played in 85 games for Miami across his freshman and sophomore seasons, slashing .298/.418/.593 with 34 homers, 15 doubles, and 84 RBI over 295 at-bats. Following his freshman season in 2023, he made the All-ACC Freshman Team and was a consensus Freshman All-American.
