Ansu Fati was born in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, and moved to Spain as a child, joining Barcelona’s La Masia academy. He became Barcelona’s youngest-ever La Liga scorer and the youngest scorer in Champions League history in 2019, and inherited Lionel Messi’s No. 10 shirt.
Serious knee injuries interrupted his career. After a loan at Brighton, he moved to Monaco. Fati is a quick, skilful forward and became the youngest scorer in Spain’s national team history in 2020.
