Denzel Dumfries grew up in Rotterdam and began his career at Sparta Rotterdam before moving to Heerenveen and then PSV, where he became captain.

Playing style
Dumfries is a powerful, attacking wing-back who is dangerous in the air and on the run. He makes long, lung-bursting runs down the right, arrives at the back post to score and delivers accurate crosses. At Inter he became one of the most productive wing-backs in Europe, scoring important goals in the Champions League, including in the 2025 semi-final against Barcelona. Defensively he is strong and committed.
International career
Dumfries has won more than 60 caps for the Netherlands and played at Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024, where the Netherlands reached the semi-finals.
Career in numbers
Across 13 seasons of senior club football, beginning in 2014/15, Dumfries has played 447 matches and scored 49 goals for 5 clubs.
