UFC Fight Night 284: Quillan Salkilld Earns $100K Bonus
Quillan Salkilld earned a $100,000 bonus for his Performance of the Night win against Mateusz Gamrot in the main event of UFC Fight Night 284.
The event took place at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, where four fighters picked up an extra $100,000 for their performances, and five others got $25,000 extra checks for finishes that weren’t bonus-winners.
Diego Ferreira and Billy Quarantillo each earned $100,000 as the Fight of the Night winners for their unanimous decision in the co-main event. Ferreira outworked Quarantillo for 15 minutes in a slugfest.
Quillan Salkilld submitted Mateusz Gamrot in the first round of the main event with a rear-naked choke, now having four straight first-round finishes and four bonuses over that same time.
Ty Miller put on a dominant performance against Billy Ray Goff, taking him out just 15 seconds into the third round. Miller requested a bonus and actually got one.
Yadier del Valle, Diyar Nurgozhay, Jose Montanha, Miles Johns, and Juliana Miller each earned $25,000 as finish bonuses for their respective wins.
Salkilld’s four bonuses over the past four fights make him a newly minted lightweight contender. His Performance of the Night win sets him up for a strong finish to the year.
The UFC will continue to evaluate the performances of its fighters as the year comes to a close. With the bonuses handed out, the stage is set for a strong finish to the year for Quillan Salkilld and other top performers.
