Three Seahawks players were absent from the stadium fan fest at Lumen Field on Saturday evening.
Their top rookie, Jadarian Price, missed his second straight practice with lower-body soreness, according to a team spokesman.
Nick Emmanwori, who underwent arthroscopic ankle surgery last month, participated in some light stretching with his teammates before watching them practice. The team has said he remains on track to play in the opener in four weeks.
The Seahawks' annual fan fest practice at Lumen Field was the first time the team was together since their Super Bowl victory in February. Coach Mike Macdonald uses this practice as a dress rehearsal for game days, and the team went through a pregame timing and warmup schedule similar to the regular season.
Derick Hall, who re-signed with the Seahawks this offseason for $42 million, wasn't at the practice either. He had said he knew he could have played out his rookie contract and likely commanded more on the open market next spring, but he loves Seattle, Macdonald, and the Seahawks' brotherhood.
Hall is known for his ability to take on double-team blocks and set the edge outside against the run game. He's also been spotted working on his massive Dodge truck, which he's been building and customizing.
In fact, Hall's love for trucks is so well-known that it was featured in the first episode of NFL Films' Hard Knocks series on the Seahawks training camp. The episode showed Hall's 2020 Dodge Ram 2500, which he had built and customized himself.
AJ Finley, who had a rough day at the same event last year, was back and participating in the practice. His season was already over a year ago, but he's now all the way back.
The Seahawks have their first primetime home game on September 9 against the New England Patriots, and they'll be looking to build on their Super Bowl victory. For now, though, it's back to training camp for the team, and they'll be focusing on getting healthy and ready for the season.
The team's next move will be to see how these absent players progress and if they'll be ready for the opener in four weeks.
