The Connecticut Sun will honor one of their franchise's best players, Alyssa Thomas, by retiring her number 25 jersey when the Mercury visit the Mohegan Sun Arena on August 7.
The ceremony is part of a series of events taking place this season, with the Sun celebrating Thomas' remarkable career.
Thomas was drafted fourth by the Liberty in the 2014 WNBA Draft and was traded to the Sun right after. She was named to the WNBA All-Rookie Team after averaging 10.0 points and 5.1 rebounds in 34 games.
Thomas holds multiple records for the Sun, including games played (319), points (3,889), rebounds (2,396), assists (1,463), and steals (494).
Fans can catch the Sun vs. Mercury game at the Mohegan Sun Arena on August 7, with the game scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. ET.
