The Little League Softball World Series in North Carolina was hit with a weather delay on Sunday, Aug. 2, forcing a reschedule of the final two games.
The action was put on hold due to constant rain in the area, with tarps covering the field and a reshuffling of the schedule for the last two games. California (West) and Kentucky (Central) faced a three-hour delay before the game began, with Kentucky eventually emerging victorious in four innings after producing seven runs in the bottom of the first inning. The game between Canada and North Carolina was moved to Monday.
Despite a two-hour rain delay, Japan managed to secure a 4-1 win over New Jersey in the second game of the evening, while Florida dominated Washington 14-0 in Sunday's opener.
The weather delay forced the Little League Softball World Series schedule to be adjusted, with the game between Canada and North Carolina moved to Monday.
