DAZN Takes Over from Gotham Sports as YES Network, MSG’s Streaming Home

The New York Yankees and other top New York pro sports teams will soon have a new streaming home. DAZN, a global sports entertainment platform, will take over as the exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming home of MSG Networks and YES Network this fall.

The transition from Gotham Sports to DAZN will start later this year with the beginning of the 2026-27 NBA and NHL seasons. According to a DAZN press release, subscribers within the networks' respective regional coverage territories will have access to live games, including Yankees, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Devils, Islanders, and Sabres matches. They will also get 24/7 feeds of the MSG, MSG Sportsnet, and YES networks, along with on-demand content.

DAZN has made a name for itself in the U.S. sports landscape by airing combat sports, soccer leagues, and competitions like the UEFA Champions League and FIFA+. Outside the U.S., the platform brings popular sports to international audiences. For those new to DAZN, it's pronounced "DA-Zone".

For customers who currently receive MSG Networks or the YES Network as part of their pay TV subscription, there will be no additional cost to access the content through DAZN. However, exact timing and other details of the migration will be announced in the coming months.

Yankees games will still stream on Gotham Sports this season. Current subscribers to the Gotham Sports app will continue to receive uninterrupted access to the content they love as YES and MSG prepare to migrate users to DAZN during the 2026-27 NBA and NHL seasons.

The partnership between MSG Networks, YES Network, and DAZN marks a significant shift in the way New York sports fans consume their favorite teams' games. With DAZN's global reach and MSG Networks' and YES Network's regional expertise, fans can expect a more seamless and engaging viewing experience.

As the 2026-27 NBA and NHL seasons approach, fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the new partnership. With the transition scheduled to begin later this year, it's clear that DAZN is ready to take the reins as the streaming home of MSG Networks and YES Network.
